The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SoHO) was launched on December 2nd, 1995, and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the launch a celebration took place on December 10, 2025, hosted by ESA, CNES and IAS, at the Institut Pascal at the Paris-Saclay University. The main scientific and technical results were summarized for a non-specialist audience. The future of space solar physics was also discussed. These presentations were followed by a cocktail reception in the lobby of the Institut Pascal building.

Thank you to all participants for making this event exciting, warm, and at times moving. The presentations are available through links in the program below. This celebration will continue through a website, the rst version of which was available during the cocktail party. To complete this rst version, we welcome your contributions in the form of photos, documents, etc. that evoke the SOHO adventure. You can submit them at https://forms.gle/GZBACpwVV6W3YYCw5

The SoHO mission, jointly developed by ESA and NASA, with twelve instruments on board, dedicated to observing the Sun, from its innermost to its outermost layers, began its work in the spring of 1996. Since then, data has continued to arrive at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and to be relayed to the MEDOC data center at IAS on the Orsay campus. SOHO data has resulted in thousands of publications worldwide which have advanced our understanding of the Sun and heliosphere and enabled new space weather forecasting capabilities. SOHO has inspired new missions, a whole generation of scientists, and worldwide public interest in our star.
